Past work, new insight, faster delivery.

Beyond the Silo helps knowledge-intensive consultancies find, adapt and build from past work, so teams deliver faster while bringing fresh insight to every project.

The problem

Your firm’s expertise is already woven through the work you’ve delivered.

The challenge is finding the right pieces, adapting them and knowing what can safely be reused.

01

“I know we’ve done this before.”

Useful material sits across folders, versions, inboxes and individual memory. Finding the right piece of work can take longer than it should.

02

Useful material does not always stay visible.

Alongside the frameworks your team uses every day are articles, models, notes and references gathered over years of work that could strengthen the next deliverable—if they surfaced at the right moment.

03

The best material is often the most sensitive.

Client context, names, examples and methodology need careful handling. When reuse feels risky, valuable work stays buried.

The outcome

Spend less time assembling the work.

More time adding the insight and nuance only your team can bring.

The aim is not to shortcut judgement. It is to reduce the time spent searching and assembling, so your team can spend more time applying the expertise that makes the work valuable.

01

A faster route to relevant material

Find past work that matches the client need, instead of relying on memory or folder searches.

02

A better base to work from

Bring relevant previous work, useful references and the right template together before shaping the next deliverable.

03

More consistent use of your methodology

Carry your language, frameworks and ways of thinking through new work more reliably.

04

Knowledge that stays useful beyond one person

Make expertise easier to access across the firm, not just by the people who remember where it lives.

Success is defined with you and tested against your own work.

How it works

Start with your work.
Build around your people.

We do not start by forcing a tool onto your team. We start by understanding how your firm delivers work now.

  1. 01

    Map the knowledge

Find where your best client work lives, how it is used and where delivery effort is being repeated.

  2. 02

    Prove the value

Test a focused set of real materials against agreed criteria for relevance, usefulness and safe reuse.

  3. 03

    Build the workflow

Create a practical path from client need to source-informed draft, using your templates, methodology and review process.

  4. 04

    Refine with the team

Put the workflow into use, gather feedback and improve it around how consultants actually work.

What you get

A working delivery workflow.

Not another place to manage knowledge.

The engagement is staged, so each step gives you a clearer basis for deciding what to do next.

Before and after

Same expertise. Better starting point.

Before

From memory and manual assembly

  • Ask around for similar past work
  • Search folders and compare file versions
  • Remove client details by hand
  • Rebuild the structure of the deliverable
  • Depend on whoever remembers the project

After

From relevant sources and consultant judgement

  • Describe the client need in plain language
  • Review relevant past work with source visibility
  • Apply agreed confidentiality safeguards
  • Start from your templates and methodology
  • Refine the draft with professional judgement

The founder

Built by someone close to the work, not just the technology.

I grew up around the language of leadership, culture, organisational psychology and facilitation. I know how much care sits behind a strong piece of client work: the framing, research, workshop design, careful wording and judgement that makes it fit the room.

I now work as a software developer with a focus on AI, retrieval and practical workflow design. Beyond the Silo brings those worlds together: the human craft of consultancy delivery and the technical systems that can help good work travel further.

The aim is not to make your work generic. It is to help your team reuse its own thinking with more confidence, more consistency and less wasted effort.

Proof and pilots

The first proof is whether it works with your material.

At this stage, the most useful evidence is not a generic benchmark. It is whether your consultants can find, adapt and improve real client delivery work.

What we test together

Evidence your team can judge.

  • Can the workflow find relevant past material?
  • Are the sources useful to a consultant?
  • Does it reduce the effort of creating a reviewable draft?
  • Are confidentiality boundaries clear enough?
  • Would the team actually use it?

Questions

Practical answers,
before you begin.

Will this work with the tools we already use?

That is the starting point. We look at how your team uses Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, shared drives or other repositories before recommending an approach.

How is confidential client material handled?

We agree what can be used, who can access it and what needs to be removed, restricted or de-identified. Hosting, permissions, providers and retention are reviewed before implementation.

Will this replace consultant judgement?

No. The workflow helps find relevant material and prepare a stronger starting point. Your consultants review the sources, adapt the thinking and remain responsible for the final work.

Do we need technical knowledge?

No. We lead the technical work. Your team brings the knowledge of your methods, clients and what a useful result looks like.

How long does it take?

A typical engagement depends on the number of sources, access requirements and the workflow being built. The work is staged, with a clear decision point after the proof-of-value test.

Is this right for a smaller consultancy?

It is designed for boutique firms with a body of previous work and recurring delivery needs. Fit depends less on exact headcount and more on whether your past work can support future delivery.

How is it priced?

Pricing is scoped by stage. You receive a clear scope and price before each step, starting with the knowledge map and proof-of-value test.

There is more value in the work you have already done.

Let’s look at where your team spends time recreating, searching and assembling client materials—and whether a secure reuse workflow could give you a better starting point.

For boutique leadership, culture and people consultancies. No obligation.
